SRM Foundation – Supporting Cancer Patients and the Underprivileged with Compassion

Founded in January 2004, SRM Foundation is a secular, non-political, non-governmental, and registered charitable trust that has spent the last 20 years providing critical support to those in need. Inspired by the teachings of Shri Dr. Karmaveer Bhaurao Patil, the foundation’s mission is to offer food, accommodation, medical guidance, and medication (as available) to underprivileged cancer patients and individuals suffering from life-threatening diseases.

Meeting Highlights: Supporting Cancer Patients and the Needy

On 17th June 2023, Karmaveer Pratishthan officials held an important meeting at Minakumari Hall in Jogeshwari. During this event, crucial future plans were discussed, and four key focus areas were established to guide SRM Foundation’s work in the coming years.

1️⃣ Providing Support to Cancer Patients:
In line with our ongoing commitment, we aim to enhance our support for cancer patients, especially those under treatment at Tata Cancer Hospital. Our goal is to offer the necessary assistance during their challenging medical journeys, ensuring they receive not only medical but also emotional care. As a leading charity for cancer patients in Mumbai, we believe that compassionate care can make a significant difference in their lives.

2️⃣ Helping and Supporting Divyang and Needy People:
We are determined to create a more inclusive and supportive environment for Divyang (differently-abled) individuals. We extend a helping hand to those in need, with a focus on creating lasting impact in their lives through programs that promote dignity and independence.

3️⃣ Assisting Aged and Needy Individuals for Shelter:
SRM Foundation understands the importance of safe and secure living conditions for elderly individuals who are homeless or in need of assistance. Our foundation will continue to work towards offering shelter and care to ensure their health, security, and well-being.

4️⃣ Providing Medical Equipment to Government Hospitals:
In our continuous efforts to contribute to improved healthcare in Mumbai, we are focusing on donating essential medical equipment to Government Hospitals. By equipping hospitals with better facilities, we can support doctors in providing quality care, especially to patients from low-income backgrounds.
